Although Siddhartha is intelligent and thirsty for knowledge, he was not satisfied. So he is unhappy. I think he felt even he got wisdom from his father, mother,teachers,and Brahmins, he would like to seek some kind of truth.
1-Siddhartha was unhappy because he was not able to find someone who could tell him how and where to get peace of mind and happiness.
His spirit was like a waiting vessel because nobody was able to satisfy his spirit.
2-Govinda is willing to follow him because he likes his way of thinking and everything about him.
3-Samanas are renounced persons who wander from place to place and try to gather followers. The author has no good opinion about them because he thinks samanas are selfish.
4-Siddhartha convinced his father by his firm attitude. Siddhartha’s father realized that the boy is not going to stay any longer at home. Siddhartha respected his father and did not want to disobey him.
5-I think in those days women did not interfere in the men’s decisions. Rosy
